PARISH NOTICES - THIRD SUNDAY OF LENT - 11th MARCH 2012

MONDAY, 12th MARCH - 9.15am - Spiritual Exercises for ALL after the 8.45am Mass by Father Joseph Bonici OP.

WEDNESDAY, 14th MARCH - 7.00pm - Lecture at the parish church by Deacon George Schembri regarding the Permanent Formation Course, the subject being Moses, the Prophet for Lent. It is important to attend for this lecture which makes us understand more this important person on whom we hear a lot during these days of preparation for Easter.

THURSDAY, 15th MARCH - 7.00pm - Adoration at the parish church animated by the devotees of the Divine Mercy.
7.15pm - Meeting of the Parochial Pastoral Council at the Annexe.

FRIDAY, 16th MARCH - Feast of Jesus the Redeemer
5.30pm - Mass followed by Pilgrimage with the statue of The Redeemer passing through The Square, Castro Street, Notary Debono Street, Parish Street, St.George’s Street, Main Street to the church. The Via Crucis will be recited during the procession. Residents are encouraged to light their house facades and hang out lit Crosses. When the procession enters the church, a Eucharistic celebration will take place followed by the Sacramental Blessing.

SATURDAY, 17th MARCH - Seminar at the Conference Hall of the parish Oratory for everybody but especially for members of the Legion of Mary on the occasion of the 2000 Meeting of the Legion of Mary in Naxxar. The Lecturer is Father Joe Buttigieg.

- Three days of spiritual reflections for youths of 16 years and over will be held at the Annexe from Monday, 19th March till Wednesday 21st March. These youths are encouraged to attend.

- A visit to the Redeemer of Senglea will be held on Wednesday, 21st March in the morning. Details will be given later.

- We would like to inform you that the everyday 5.00pm Mass at the Cemetery will be held instead at the parish church until further notice. This is being done because of the works at the Cemetery which will be closed during the week and opens only on Sundays. We apologize for any inconvenience.

- Envelopes for your contributions for the Easter present to be given to The Holy Family Home can be found at the Parish Church and the Sghajtar Chapel.
The Nursing Bed costs €1000 and Laundry Trolley costs €1400. These are important items for the Elderly, so let us help them as much as possible. The children will also be helping with the Money-Box of Love.
